Ok, here's a piece actually worth something out of the four I've uploaded, I hope.
I started drawing Honya, my first character card in Mabinogi, in the middle of my Calculus class because my professor was going over something absolutely mundane. Partial derivatives. Evidentially deriving in respect to single variables is too foreign for words in the section.
I tried this time simply using my 0.5 Mechanical pencil for the whole piece, shading in for color than my usual ink after sketch technique. Overall I like this new approach, and I'll use it for future advanced poses.
Tell me what you think of it, any criticism is better than none. Oh, and you'll see me on Mabi usually Friday or Saturday nights.
Your lines are still so wobbly! Practice more! Whip that inconsistent hand into shape!
She also looks like she's going to fall backwards. Not a natural stance. The eyebrows and whatnot are also kind of crooked. Next time, plan the sketch out and make sure the pose looks possible.
Also her torso is totally wrong. Her waist should curve in, not continue straight down from the bust. Which, by the way, should start curving in a lot higher up, even if she's totally flat - if you're going to give her any bust (which you have) then it needs to be higher up and rounder. Also, don't forget the effects of the ribcage. (You should spend more time checking out girls in real life if you can't judge female anatomy! )

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
